LOFTY LIVING. This Family Room loft, which shares

LOFTY LIVING. This Family Room loft, which shares its vaulted ceiling with the Living and Dining Rooms below, was once a dark and dreary room. The beams were chocolate brown and the windows small. To make it brighter, cozier, and more functional, we tripled the height of the glazing, sanded the wood beams back to their original natural hue, and designed a massive library for the owner’s significant book collection. It was a big weekend for SLD... our nice little Op

It was a big weekend for SLD... our nice little Open House turned into a BIG PARTAY. So incredibly thankful to all of our guests, planning team (K. Fazeli and team SLD), generous contributors (@andrew7324 and @hammo124), and especially the band —long-time friends AJ Lee and Blue Summit (@ajleebluesummit) for the incredible evening of community and celebration. You all made this girl very happy and proud — it was the most memorable Grand Opening office party EVER. xoxo

In the spirit of Halloween, and all of the amazing costumes out there today, I wanted to share photos of this majorly inspiring Issey Miyake exhibit I saw a few weeks ago at The Powers Art Center in Carbondale, CO. (A small town I once called home) While I am an interior designer, fashion has always inspired me. When I saw this show I was reminded of a grad school project in which we were to design a retail space for the legendary designer himself - one of those life confirming moments for me. If you don’t already know it, his work is transcendent, full of so much detail, artistry, craftsmanship, and unparalleled vision. The pictures don’t do it justice.
